BUYING GUIDE
A machine’s history matters.
Paintwork can tell only part of the story. When buying used plant, ask where the machine has worked, who has owned it and what maintenance information is available.
Ask for available service records and clarity on the recorded hours. Discuss known repairs, faults and wear rather than assuming a tidy exterior means everything underneath is perfect.
Arrange a viewing and an appropriate inspection before committing. Check what is included in the sale, the price and VAT treatment, and the collection or transport arrangements.
Our preference is for machinery from trusted owners and contacts whose history we know. We aim to explain the available information clearly and welcome questions.
CHOOSING YOUR MACHINE
Buy for the job ahead.
Start with the work, rather than the badge on the bonnet. Site access, ground conditions, working space and the task itself help narrow down the right machine.
For an excavator, consider access width, operating weight, digging depth and attachment compatibility. For a dumper, think about payload, terrain and the type of discharge your work requires.
Transport and storage deserve a place in the decision too. Tell us where the machine will work and what you need it to achieve, and we can help shape your search.
